Mark Hayes has given the piece a contemporary feel in his arrangement with a flowing, yet rhythmic, piano accompaniment and vocal parts that are quite accessible and very satisfying to both singers and congregation. Strophic in form, the song opens with the refrain, which recurs after each of the two verses; the second verse builds to a forte return of the chorus in a strong unison, emphasizing the strength of unity in the body of Christ.
