This jubilant new choral setting of Psalm 96 is set in a spirited 6/8 meter. Written in an A-B-A form, the first section has an engaging and robust melody, which invites us to “Sing to the Lord a new song!” The middle section is a capella, in 4/4, evoking a more reflective mode, asking us to “worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” This festive anthem is lush with nuance in dynamics and blend and is perfect for an introit or for general use throughout the year.
